While playoffs are competitive, regular sportsmanship rules still apply. Referees will strictly enforce fair play, and unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.
Yellow Cards: Players receiving a yellow card must be substituted but may return at the next stoppage.
Red Cards: Players receiving a red card will be ejected for the remainder of the game, and the team will play one player short.
Minimum Players
Each team must have at least seven players to start the game. Teams with fewer than seven players at the scheduled start time will forfeit and be eliminated from playoffs. Please ensure all players arrive early to avoid forfeits.
Game Structure and Playing Time
Division 4 will consist of four 15-minute quarters.
Division 3 will consist of two 30-minute quarters.
Every player must play at least half the game to ensure fair playtime.
Coaches should monitor the score closely. A maximum goal lead of 5 is allowed. Exceeding this limit will result in forfeiture. Remember, we’re coaching for the division, and a sportsmanlike game is our priority.
Overtime and Penalty Kicks
Overtime: If the game is tied after regulation, two 10-minute halves of overtime will be played. First goal wins!!
Penalty Kicks:
If still tied after overtime, the game will proceed to penalty kicks.
Only players on the field at the end of overtime are eligible to participate. Goalies may be substituted but only with another player already on the field.
Each team takes 5 alternating penalty kicks. The team with the most goals at the end wins.
If still tied after the first round and it’s not the final game, the game goes to sudden-death penalty kicks, with each team using different players until all players on the field have participated if necessary.
If still tied after the first round and it is the final game, co-champions will be declared in the spirit of the game.
Post-Game Conduct
After the game, all players are expected to shake hands and show respect for each other. Any display of disrespect will be addressed with players and parents immediately, as good sportsmanship is essential.
