Player Code of Conduct

One man practicing sportsmanship is far better than a hundred teaching it.

All registered players are bound to the Rules of HTRSA and it’s Code of Conduct.

Everyone must work together to promote sportsmanship and safety. The success of HTRSA is not determined by a single game, the final standings or the end of season win/loss record.  The success is built on positive instruction, teaching proper fundamentals and maintaining sportsmanship through fun competition.  This will provide a foundation our children can take with them for the rest of their lifetime.

Player Code of Conduct

  • Play soccer for enjoyment, exercise, socialization, and to learn the team concept, not just to please family and coaches.
  • Be a team player by communicating, cooperating, and getting along with their teammates, coaches, opponents and officials.
  • Respect their coaches, teammates, opponents, referee and parents regardless of race, sex, or ability, and will expect to be treated accordingly.
  • Never argue with or complain about an official or coach’s decision/call.
  • Learn the skills for the game, rules of the game, and play by them.
  • Display good sportsmanship and team play at all times.
  • Players will not bully, taunt, or otherwise make fun of any player, coach, parent, or referee.
  • Always be on their best behavior both on and off the field.
  • Understand that poor behavior during practices or games may result in lost playing time and expulsion from the team.
